Design Systems & Decadis Audit Log
Throughout my professional career, I have contributed to the development and maintenance of design systems for a range of organizations. Due to contractual obligations and confidentiality agreements, these projects cannot be presented in detail.
My clients included companies such as Decadis, Atruvia, and Netze BW. Across these engagements, I was involved in designing and documenting UI components, defining design principles, and collaborating closely with development teams to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
At Decadis in particular, I worked in continuous alignment with development team leads. The primary focus was on establishing a cohesive and scalable design language that could be seamlessly integrated into existing development workflows. This required balancing design quality with technical feasibility and long-term maintainability.
Although the individual systems cannot be shown publicly, this work provided me with deep insight into complex design processes and strengthened my ability to work in a structured, user-centered, and cross-functional manner—especially at the intersection of design and engineering.
Decadis — Audit Log Tool
At Decadis, I designed and built an internal tool called Audit Log, using the company’s existing design system as a foundation. The tool was created to support administrators in monitoring and understanding system processes and ticket workflows.
Audit Log enables admins to track where processes succeeded, failed, or are currently in progress, providing a clear overview of the overall status of tickets. By consolidating complex technical information into a structured and readable format, the tool helps teams quickly identify issues, understand system behavior, and respond more efficiently.
A strong focus of the project was usability. The interface was designed to be clear, accessible, and easy to navigate, transforming raw log data into meaningful insights. To validate these design decisions, I conducted remote usability tests with online participants. The tool achieved an average usability rating of 4.9 out of 5, confirming its high level of clarity and ease of use.
This project demonstrates my ability to work within established design systems while creating user-friendly internal tools that simplify complex processes and support operational teams in their daily work.
